About Kang Nam Town

Kang Nam Town is the Korean restaurant located within the Cary H-Mart. Come by to enjoy authentic Korean food prepared our team!

Located at 1961 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27519, Kang Nam Town operates as a korean restaurant serving Cary in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Cary, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across North Carolina run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–7:40 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (919) 418-5430. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, kangnamtown.com.

Its Google rating stands at 3.4 out of 5 from 87 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Cary is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Cary peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My wife ordered the Yuk Gae Jang (spicy beef soup with rice. B17 from the Menu board) to go from Kang Nam Town around lunchtime today. When she got home, she discovered that the lid of the container was cracked, causing the soup to spill out(Photo attached). As a result, the meal was no longer in an edible condition. She immediately returned to Kang Nam Town to request a replacement. Instead of apologizing, the owner accused her of breaking the container herself. Although he eventually agreed to replace the meal, he repeatedly insisted that the incident was not his fault. At no point did he offer an apology for the inconvenience. He was also rude enough to tell her to take the meal and leave. It was a truly horrible experience for herβ€”one that no customer should have to endure and something you rarely encounter. This experience has permanently cost them our business. We will never return, as long as he owns the place .

I always come here for the Kimchi stew, no other place makes it like them! I always do take out and they have the perfect system for a soup take out.

I got jjajjangmyun which was good, but didn't sit well bc it had a lot of msg. Getting the tangsuyuk was a mistake. The fried batter was too thick and chewy and there was barely any meat...the employees were very nice and accommodating. The food court is very busy and crowded during the weekends and the holidays.

this place has no idea how to make an authentic galbi. it was way too sweet and undercooked. i’m a real korean, so i would know. also their only side dish is the radish kimchi, super disappointing.

Not usually a huge fan of leaving reviews, but wow the disappointment was real this time. I’ve been coming here since 2018, and while the price has certainly skyrocketed, the food has been going downhill. The picture I’ve attached below was taken right after I took the lid off, haven’t eaten a single shrimp. I understand that shrimp is a somewhat expensive ingredient compared to like chicken, vegetables, etc. , but for 17 bucks and some change I would expect at least one full layer of food in my box. The taste was ok, but the batter to shrimp ratio was ridiculous. It was almost 70-80% batter. Unfortunately the best part of the whole meal was the white rice it came with LMFAO. Lady who took my order was very sweet though!
